This is a very impressive vertebrate fossil. It is a large Cave Bear (Ursus spelaeus) jaw from the Carpath Mountains of Romania. This jaw is nicely intact and incredibly well preserved. The large canine and other teeth are wonderfully showcased - the teeth are firmly embedded in the solid jawbone. The jaw simply displays beautifully. This is a great Ice Age fossil from an extinct Cave Bear.
