This is a very nice vertebrate fossil. It is a long Cave Bear (Ursus spelaeus) tooth from the Pleistocene of Romania. Cave bear material is becoming harder to obtain, as the cave deposits have been heavily collected. The tooth has very good enamel and structure preserved. The very tip is worn from use, so this must have been an adult tooth. This is a fine specimen of an extinct Cave Bear tooth from the Ice Age of Romania.
