This is a very rare fossil association. It is a Large Fossil Feather and Leaf from the Green River Formation. Occasionally, rare bird feathers were fossilized in the Green River Formation. This specimen is large and has extremely fine detail preserved. There is also a very distinct leaf fossilized next to the feather - the leaf also has nice detail preserved. This is a very rare association of two very different types of organisms from the Eocene.
