Here is a very nice fossil cricket. This specimen is from the Cretaceous of Brazil. The insect is very well defined. The head, body, and legs of the cricket are easily seen. The dark brown fossil contrasts nicely with the light-colored limestone. The insect is very well centered on the semi-rectangular plate of matrix. This is a great specimen of a large fossil cricket from the Cretaceous.
