Specimen SSA767
This is a beautiful display fossil. It is a fabulous Phareodus testis fossil fish from the Green River Formation of Wyoming. This awesome specimen was recently prepared in the EXTINCTIONS Preparation Lab. Phareodus was a predatory fish, with a mouth full of sharp teeth. This specimen showcases these LONG teeth beautifully. The fish is very well-preserved and has extremely fine detail - the fins and tail are simply awesome. And the scale pattern is even preserved on this specimen! The complete fish is wonderfully showcased on a large, natural, unbroken plate of shale. And this specimen comes with a metal display stand at no extra charge! This is easily one of the most displayable Phareodus we have ever had.
