This is a very nice theropod tooth from the Cretaceous of South America. It is a Carnotaurus sastrei tooth from Argentina. Carnotaurus was one of the most unusual carniverous dinosaurs ever identified. This animal displayed a pair of prominent horns above the eyes. The tooth has great serrations along the cutting edge. The tip of the tooth exhibits a very nice point. This beautifully colored tooth has very good enamel. This is a very rare tooth from this strange looking carniverous dinosaur from Argentina.

Note: Argentina has now banned the export of all fossils. We will strictly abide by and enforce this law - we will not acquire new fossils from Argentina. However, this fossil was collected and exported prior to this law, and can be sold legally.
