Specimen SSAOK1
This is a fabulous multiple plate of classic US trilobites. This is a beautiful plate of Homotelus bromidensis from the Ordovician of Oklahoma. This specimen was recently acquired from an old fossil collection. There are DOZENS of specimens of Homotelus on the slab, many of which are complete. The trilobites are 3-dimensionally preserved and exhibit very fine detail. There are many specimens on the plate which are preserved ventrally, and the hypostomas (mouthplates) display prominently. The bugs have outstanding color and contrast and are NATURALLY positioned on the large plate of limestone (over a foot long measured diagonally!). Every fossil collection should have a classic multiple Homotelus slab like this one. It is a phenomenal display piece showcasing both the gregarious nature of trilobites and the impressiveness of death assemblage plates.
