This is a very special fossil. It is a complete fossil bird (Liaoxiornis delicatus?), found in the same area in China where the feathered dinosaur was unearthed. This bird is complete and has extraordinary detail preserved. The wings are fossilized in the textbook ''flying'' position, with the dark feather area easily seen. The claws on the wings are intact, and the claws on the feet are absolutely incredible! But the truly amazing feature of this bird is that it has teeth! The teeth can be seen in the close-up photo, but they can only REALLY be appreciated under magnification! This is a true museum fossil that could be the centerpiece of any fossil collection. It is a unique piece of the Earth's History, from a locality in China that has forever changed the way we think about the relationship between birds and dinosaurs.
