This is simply an incredible multiple trilobite plate. It is a plate of 12 Trilobites (10 Lonchodomas sp. and 2 Unidentified Asaphids) from the Ordovician of Morocco. This amazing slab was meticulously prepared in the EXTINCTIONS Prep Lab, as are all of our Moroccan trilobites. These trilobites are REAL, unlike almost all of the Moroccan "Ampyx" specimens on the market that have carved and painted spines. These twelve trilobites are all in line, probably preserved in a windrow, or how they were washed up on a beach. The trilobites are wonderfully articulated and exhibit excellent detail. The fossils are also extremely inflated and 3-D for this type. The dark orange-brown color of the trilobites contrasts superbly with the light-colored matrix. The bugs are beautifully showcased on the sculpted plate of limestone. And best of all, this slab is not composited - all of the trilobites are natural to the plate! This is an extremely large ''death assemblage'' plate of unusual Lonchodomas and Asaphids from Morocco - a museum-quality example of an unusual trilobite mass mortality.
