This is an incredible multiple plate of trilobites from the Devonian of Morocco. There are seven ''Devil-Horned'' Cyphaspis on this block of limestone - six dorsals and one ventral. This amazing fossil was expertly prepared under a microscope in the EXTINCTIONS Prep Lab here in Colorado. You can easily see how these trilobites got their demonic nickname - they have a pair of spiny ''horns'' growing out of their heads. All of the Cyphaspis have the ''horns'' and stalked eyes prepared free-standing, and even some of the long axial spines are fully free of matrix. An added bonus to this plate are the three complete Proetus sp. scattered about - two dorsals and one ventral. The trilobites are all extremely inflated and 3-D and have fabulous detail preserved . The bugs simply display beautifully on the large, sculpted block of dense limestone. And, most amazing of all, all ten trilobites are natural to the plate - none have been composited! This is a spectacular multiple plate of trilobites superbly prepared as if they were still alive!
