This is a very displayable plate of Mayfly Larvae, Heptagenia sp., from the Jurassic of China. There are several complete specimens and a partial example on the slab. The head, segmented body, and forked tail of each complete larva are easily seen. Even the ''bristles'' on the bodies are noticeable. The larvae have very good color and contrast and are nicely positioned on the plate of shale. This is an unusual multiple specimen of Mayfly larvae from the time of the dinosaurs.
